Main course

Pff. It went rather well. Piece of cake, I should say. Once I desactivated my crappy outdated version of UTW…
Other than that I like the new admin interface but it’ll take time to get used to it. I loved so much the wp-tiger admin style but unfortunately, it’s not yet compatible wit WP 2.5 (a afar as I know..).
Anyway, if you find any bug on the site that I missed, please leave a comment.

Well, not exactly what you might think of.. I indeed started using MarsEdit to post my articles and I’m loving it. I tried all sort of different solutions but this one is what I prefer. I love being able to write locally and post when ever I feel like it. I also like all the options available especially the custom tags. Give it a try, it’s really worth it.

On a side note for the ones who’ve wondering what the hell I was waiting to release some new WP themes, well I’ve been busy with my daily job (really busy) and some family business. I’m also designing sites for some clients and I just launched today a new site for one of them, Atheist Perspective.. Congrats Michael, it’s been fun working with you. So, just to go back to the themes, I’ll try to release at least one or two this summer with maybe a few surprises in between..

I haven’t posted in a while not (only) because I have nothing to say but more because of my ever busy life. The themes are progressing very slowly at the moment but I hope to find some time soon to finish some of them.

Anyway, today’s post topic is about wordpress design. While some great themes are available, the most beautiful and unique designs are usually nowhere to be found. Why? mainly because designers keep them for themselves ;). I ‘m sure there are quite a few out there (that I don’t know about) and I thought it would be a great idea to post a list of what you consider to be the best (design wise) wordpress powered sites . To get it started, here is my personal list below. If you know any other please post the links on the comments. Read the rest of this entry »

Here is an interesting plugin I found by chance when reading Eric Meyer’s blog. So what does it do?

This plugin will notify commenters when their comments are caught as spam by Askimet or put in the moderation queue.

You don’t get it? well, say that you have a lot of spams going on on your blog, they’re all efficiently caught by askimet so you never check them in your admin dashboard. But sometimes, among them, you have a real comment from a real commenter. You’ll never see it or be aware of its existence unless the author knows that he’ll have to notify you that his comment is in your spam folder. And that’s what Antispam Collateral Condolences does. As a bonus it also tells commenters that their comment is being held for moderation. Thanks to Mark Jaquith for developping this nice plugin.
